As the latest addition to Finland’s biggest winter sports event,
Lahti Ski Games, Lahti By Night festival brings the after ski tradition back to Lahti on the 1st of March 2008.
The main aim of the official after ski event is to gather the visitors together for a night together after a day of winter sports.
The famous after ski party atmosphere will carry on to the very late hours of the night.
Come and experience the unique after ski feeling with Finland’s best performing artists!
The event takes place in Lahti Halli at Lahti Fair Center, right by the stadium and the ski jumping hills. In a true after ski fashion, Lahti By Night provides snacks, drinks, nice people and great performances. Finnish favourites Yö and Paula Koivuniemi are joined by the house band Jelly. As one can expect, one can attend this after ski fun with one’s friends straight from the evening’s last ski jumping contest, wearing one’s winter clothing. Lahti By Night is a part of the Ski Games weekend for the first time and the goal is to make it a yearly tradition. The name of the festival comes from a song called Lahti By Night, composed in the year 1978. Lahti By Night Festival is a great choice for one to spend a nice evening with the other Ski Games visitors. Welcome to join a newly born after ski tradition in Lahti. See you all in a great mood, in the Lahti By Night Festival! The tickets can be bought at the door for the price of EUR 18 (+ coat check fee), and on the internet, www.lippupalvelu.fi by the search keyword "Lahti By Night". There is also a combined ticket available for EUR 27 that includes entrance to Saturday’s Ski Games and to the after ski festival at 19.30-03.00.
